About Steven Spielberg

Steven Spielberg is considered one of Hollywood’s greatest film directors ever. With an illustrious career spanning over forty years as a writer, director and producer, Spielberg’s portfolio includes some of the highest grossing films in movie history.

Spielberg became interested in filmmaking in 1958 at the early age of 12, when he was required to make a short 8 mm film to earn his Boy Scout’s photography merit badge. In 1962, Spielberg won first prize at a film festival for a 40-minute film and the rest, as they say, is history.
